We are proud to say that as a school we are active members of our local community as well as the court reporting community. Wearing our Sage College T-shirts and sweatshirts, our students and staff can be seen at every CSR exam, the annual MS Walks, career fairs, Chamber of Commerce meetings, and other events that take place in our community.
In keeping with the Sage College community awareness line up, this month we have invited RASCAL - Reporters Association of Southern California - to speak to our students. At this event representatives will present a brief summarization about the history of shorthand, simultaneously reported using realtime technology and then a question-and-answer session. Sage College will hold a raffle at the event and two lucky students will receive a sponsorship to the RASCAL upcoming seminar worth $95 each.
Stenograph will demonstrate their two new writers to our students this month. As always, we are pleased to have Maggie Cline, Stenograph Representative, visit our school with the newest and greatest of steno machines. The students are looking forward to her visit.
